Stora Enso’s side streams utilised for years as raw materials for circular economy products
Soilfood has been making versatile use of Stora Enso’s side streams as raw materials for circular economy products since 2017.
Our long-standing collaboration with the Imatra mills covers both fibre-rich side streams and lime. Through this partnership, a significant share of the side streams generated in the production process can be directed to agricultural use, helping to minimise the amount of waste requiring final disposal – fully in line with Stora Enso’s sustainability goals.
Soilfood has been refining products from Metsä Board’s side streams since 2016
